Do you think this is fair punishment?

So yesterday in the lunch there is this fat kid who pushed me he did this on purpose just piss me off and i know this for a fact and all the other kids saw it... So after he pushed me i told him to get his ******** hands off me, then told me that i was being a fuc*ing homo a*s dou*hbag fa*got, and i should just **** off, then i said shut up tonka t*ts, because he has huge t*ts. So long story short he went and tattled and i got a detention, i rarely get in trouble so its not like i have a rep, i know i didnt handle the situation well and i somewht deserve the dention becuse i did retalite in a non appropriat way... But should the other kid have on too, he did start it by pushing me and then calling me all those names before i even called him any names. Well the school didnt give him a detention is that fair
