Can you tell me if i am emo?

so my friends think im emo cause i tried to see how much pain i could take with Scissors ...i took the scissors and put the scissors around my hand and pressed down as hard as i could..it sort of hurted but yet again it didnt...it didnt like cut me or anything..and i also have very depressing thoughts some times and want 2 hurt myself...i write poetry some times i hate my life and s*it but i dont think im emo..i just think i hav a very fuc**** up life....................please tell me what you think...and be honest
